What is Foliio?

I lost my password, how do I login?
No problem, click the “Sign In” button on the Homepage. From here you’ll find a lost password link. Click on this and you’ll receive an email prompt which will provide you with the steps to reset your password. Or click the following link: https://foliio.com/my-account/lost-password/

How do I delete my account?
Sorry to see you go! To permanently delete your account, go to My Account and click the Delete Account. Click the follow up Delete Account prompt and adios, your account will be deleted! Once deleted your account cannot be recovered.

How do I change my password or email address?
Head to My Account and click on Account Details. From here you can manage your password, email and basic account details.

Is Foliio for me and why is there an application process?
Foliio is for emerging and established screenwriting talent who have already some demonstrable experience in the industry. We are committed to maintaining high standards across our network to ensure the best Screenwriters can stand out and Industry pros can have confidence in the quality of the talent and stories. Therefore we require all users to be screened and approved before joining.

How long does the application take to complete and when will I get a response?
The application process is simple. Complete the Sign Up questions, which should take around 10 minutes, and we aim to respond with the outcome within 48 hours

Can I apply again if I don't get accepted?
Absolutely, we encourage new entrants to apply again after building some further experience.

Can I appeal the decision if I don't agree?
Yes, if you think we have made a mistake and should reconsider your submission, email us on support@foliio.com and please expand on why we should review your application again. We will take this all into account and respond with our decision shortly after.

Who can see my profile?
Screenwriter profile pages can be publicly viewed publicly but it only shows a bio and location. We hide all confidential information such as all project details, representation summary, and external contact. Only verified Industry users can access all of this additional information.

How do I upload a project?
It’s straightforward, once you have signed in, you can add a project by clicking on My Projects in the menu, and clicking the Add Project button. There is also an Add Project shortcut on your profile page.

Who can message me?
Screenwriters can receive messages from verified Industry users. These users will have to make first contact and message you first before you can respond and start a conversation.

Can other screenwriters view and download my scripts?
All Foliio users can view project pages. You can decide who has the ability to download your script – so whether it’s only Industry users or both other Screenwriters and Industry users. You may change this setting in the Edit Project page, when you add materials that can be downloaded you can change the settings so that it can only be downloaded by “Industry Only” or “Industry & Screenwriters”.

What happens to my projects if I cancel my paid subscription?
Don’t worry nothing will happen to your projects and they will still remain accessible to you. However the number which will be viewable on your profile page to other users will be limited to 3.

What are Analytics?
Analytics give you insight into how your profile and projects are performing. There are four main metrics tracked:
A listing; this is when a project or a user appears in a search on the Projects or Screenwriters page
A view: this is when the project page or the profile page is viewed
A track / bookmark: this is when a project or a user is tracked or bookmarked.
A download: within a particular project, it’s possible to see which items have been downloaded and how many unique users have done so. -
Who can leave a testimonial?
Testimonials are a great way to illustrate your qualities to the industry. Only verified Industry users can leave testimonials so share your profile with people you’ve worked with before and ask them to leave a testimonial to support your profile.

How do I unpublish a project?
Sure, if you want to unpublish a project, you can do this in My Projects and then select Edit Project. From here you can select Discoverable or Private which determines whether the project is viewable on your profile. If you wish to delete a project, click Edit Project and scroll down to the bottom you’ll find the delete project button. Deleted projects cannot be recovered.

Is Foliio for me?
We hope so. Foliio is for producers, managers, agents, directors, showrunners, development executives and finance professionals in the film and TV industry. Anyone who is contributing to the creation of film and TV content and is looking to connect with Screenwriters is welcome.

Why is there an application process?
Industry users have access to screenwriter projects and can downloads scripts. We want to make sure all of this IP is secure and need to vet users to ensure they are active in the industry and have a professional interest in screenwriters material.

Yes, we encourage Industry users to reach out to the brilliant screenwriting talent on the platform

Can writer's contact me?
Industry users must first message a screenwriter before they can respond to you.

Will writers know if I add a project to a list?
Writers receive a notification that their project has been added to a list but your details remain anonymous.

Do writers know if I download their script?
Yes, screenwriters receive a notification once an industry member has downloaded their script and they see the name of the person who downloaded it and the company they work for.

Can I change my brief preferences?
You sure can, in Projects homepage, you’ll see a link to Edit Preferences. Click on this and it will take you to your Edit Profile page where you can select and choose your preferencs.

What are lists and how do I create them?
Lists are ways of tracking either specific Screenwriter profiles or Projects. Click the bookmark button and create or select a list to add them to. When any updates are made to profiles or projects, you’ll receive a notification so you are always up to date.

When will I be billed?
Users are billed on a monthly basis and can be cancelled at any time. Head to the My Account section to manage your subscription.

How are payments secured?
All payments are processed through Stripe and Foliio does not store, or have access to, your payment details. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit cards are accepted, and these are processed through Stripe. Payments can also be made through securly Paypal.

Can I get an invoice?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide invoices or complete vendor request forms at this time.
